We would not be able to deliver our activities and support services without help from our funders and partner organisations.
Our core funder is The Big Lottery Fund, which is currently supporting our counselling service and upcoming domestic violence perpetrators programme and has contributed to our plans to renovate and extend our building to meet the growing demand for our work. Our extension and refurbishment project was also funded by the Cloth Workers Foundation and the Garfield Weston Foundation.
We have also received funding from the Police Crime Commissioners fund for our victim support work.
Our Derby Men’s Centre service is currently funded by the Big Lottery and the Leathersellers’ Company Charitable Foundation.
Our partnerships have helped us to deliver valuable support services such as counselling, courses and workshops and complementary therapies.
We have strong partnerships with the University of Derby, the University of Nottingham and the Sherwood Institute and are their preferred placement of choice for their counselling students.
We have a long-standing partnership with Nelsons solicitors, who provide free legal support on Wednesdays for our service users. They have now expanded this service to include more appointments.
Our workshops are predominantly delivered by volunteers, including the Soroptomists of Derby. They have delivered numerous confidence courses for our service users and have also donated money from their fundraising efforts.
