Connecting Lives – Wednesday 5 June 10.00 – 12.00 and Wednesday 12 June 2019 1.00 – 3.00

We are looking for volunteers to help run a new project at Derby Women’s Centre.  Training will be provided. The aim of the project is to target women who have become isolated or are feeling lonely due to mental health issues, domestic violence, cultural or language barriers etc. We will be offering help and support to the women within the women’s centre as well as reaching out to those unable to leave their homes, If you feel you would like to come along and hear more, we are having an informal coffee morning on Wednesday 5th June from 10 am-12

Thank you to the Mad4padz Girls

We would like to thank Deana el Khory and Alicia Hayer, Diversity Prefects of the Senior Prefect Team, Nottingham Girls School Sixth Form, their Head Teacher Julie Keller and the Head of Sixth Form Erin Skelton. We are very proud to announce that we have a wonderful Yoga Instructor who has freed up her Tuesday’s from 12 until 1 pm to run weekly classes at Derby Women’s Centre. Helping Hands (Unite Union) Derby donate £467.50 to support the work of the centre.

Without the generous and selfless donations and support of the local community and businesses the centre would not be where it is today. A big heartfelt thank you to helping-hands and Unite the union EM/DE40 Manufacturing and Rail Branch at Rolls-Royce Derby. Wendy Woo, Sparkle, Tracey, Shan and Dawn for raising a fantastic £467.50 which will be put to good use by the centre. Much love ladies and thank you once again. The centre doesn’t currently receive any funding towards the work and support we give, so fundraising and donations keeps the centre open for all.

We wish there were mornings like this everyday. Overwhelmed, overwhelming, overwhelmingly words cannot describe. Landau Forte College thank you so much for your kind donations supporting the work of the centre.
